CSA Approved First Aid Kits
An employer following CSA workplace first aid requirements must provide and keep readily accessible the type, size, and number of first aid kits meeting the requirements set out in "CSA Z1220-17, First Aid Kits for the Workplace".
The type and size of the first aid kit required for a workplace is determined by the number of workers per shift as well as the level of risk of injury. The likelihood of harm as well as the severity of harm should be taken into consideration when determining workplace risk level.

- 2-25 workers per shift require a CSA Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Small (2-25 Workers).
- 26-50 workers per shift require a CSA Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Medium (26-50 Workers).
- 51-100 workers per shift require a CSA Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Large (51-100 Workers).
- 2-25 workers per shift require a CSA Type 3 Intermediate First Aid Kit - Small (2-25 Workers).
- 26-50 workers per shift require a CSA Type 3 Intermediate First Aid Kit - Medium (26-50 Workers).
- 51-100 workers per shift require a CSA Type 3 Intermediate First Aid Kit - Large (51-100 Workers).
