2020 Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course Provider Manual

The Heart & Stroke PALS course has been updated to reflect new science from the 2020 Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (2020 Guidelines for CPR and ECC). The PALS Provider Manual is designed for a single user and is required for all students taking a PALS course. Students will use this book to progress through the course and as a reference tool before and after the classroom session.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation PALS course provides Canadian healthcare professionals with the critical training necessary to better recognize and treat critically ill infants and children. 

This course focuses on a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics to improve the quality of care, resulting in improved outcomes.
